Comment to this post and I'll:
a) Tell you why I friended you.
b) Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
c) Tell you something I like about you.
d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
e) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
f) Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
g) in return, you must post this on your own lj.

WHAT. you can't do that, I'm totally still missing my feedback on your meme thread!

ANSWERS!

a
I friended you because your Captain Cold icon "Hell is Cold", which you debuted in the Rogues Revenge threat on scans_daily. I reasoned that anyone capable of simultaneously seeing the beauty of the whimsical Pratchett universe and the greatness of the Rogues in that piece was someone I wanted to know.

b
I associate you with the hardbitten, cynical, pragmatic heroes in comics and stories I like, the dudes, like Max Mercury, like Commissioner Gordon, like LXG Captain Nemo, that aren't pretty, or blessed, or even happy, but they get it done.

c
I like your mix of aggressive internet fandom-standard informality with occasional drops into Shakespearean references.

d
I remember the very first time I saw your name in a scans_daily thread, I resolved to ask you in a comment if your name was what it obviously referenced, but later in the same thread you used your nifty mr. vimes icon, and confirmed it.

e
I always am interested to know this, is there a currently published comic you unreservedly like?

f
of your icons, I can't decide whether to pick the Taskmaster one, or "Hell is Cold"

g
done, obv, but now you must answer me!

There are a few. The current Green Lantern run and Hercules (Marvel) are my two favorites at the moment.

I know! It's kind of weird, but that's fairly par for the course. My introverted habits lead to strange lags in the fellowship of others.

a
the answer is Paul of course. He or someone mentioned you as a partner, and I was compelled to add you. A lot of my view of you is colored by the contagious aura of awesome I sense in him. I don't really ever see anybody here in LA other than coworkers, but of the few I do, I've really enjoyed hanging out with Paul and co. And I knew that anybody that Paul felt so warmly about would have to be a great person.

b
your strong self-improvement tone, and optimism on that front on LJ made me think of this self-sculpting girl painting (not sure if the link will work: http://pixdaus.com/pics/1215088019yFxNuWK.jpg)

c
I admire your ability to acknowledge pain and joy from multiple sources, in equal measure. Your romantic ups and downs and progress and exploring is frankly dizzying to me, and even if I feel unqualified to read or react to it, I appreciate you sharing it with me. (and all our lovely lj friends, of course)

d
I remember the first time I read one of your detailed self-examining lj posts, I took an immediate step back out of a reflexive sense of invading your privacy. I think it took me almost a whole day to curiously click it back open and read the whole thing. Very very interesting to meet someone first in their strangest most self-dissecting moments, and see pictures and light stuff later. Part of what I like about the internet.

e
I've always wondered, do you draw?

f
I like your Kissy Field icon best, obv. Where is it?

g
Done! Now to ask for reciprocation in our weird internet-only acquaintance!

That icon is in Pasadena, by the side of the road around the Rose Bowl, and we were doing the MS Walk with my stepmom, who snapped the picture. :-) Thanks!

Oh, and no, I don't really draw. I'm a perfectionist in many ways, and my inability to recreate on paper what I see in my mind keeps me from drawing.

And, for you, the icon!
